Pride girls team swims
to another win

Leesville, Wakefield boys take second and third, respectively

The Leesville Road girls swim team continued putting together an impressive early-season resume, winning a four-team meet — which included two other Cap-7 Conference teams — at the Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary Dec. 8.

The Pride tallied 180 total points, handily knocking off Enloe (146), Holly Springs (95) and Wakefield (93).

Hannah Lincoln, Jillian Schoening, Hannah Stephenson and Abby Vance started off the Pride's day on the right foot, winning the Women's 200-yard Medley Relay with a time of 1:53.90.

Lincoln, Stephenson, Vance and Rachel Mulligan later joined ranks to place second in the Women's 200-yard freestyle relay.

Individually, Lincoln captured the top spots in the Women's 100-yard backstroke (1:03.54) and Women's 50-yard freestyle (25.92) and placed second in the Women's 100-yard breaststroke.

Vance also shined on her own, taking first in the Women's 100-yard freestyle (54.78) as well as the Women's 200-yard freestyle (1:56.68)

Schoening took first in the Women's 100-yard breaststroke. Mulligan placed second in the Women's 200-yard Individual Medley (2:15.44), and snagged first in the Women's 500-yard freestyle.

Leesville's Krysta Garbarino took first in the Women's 100-yard butterfly and third in the Women's 200-yard individual medley.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Wakefield's Shani Ervin captured second, less than four tenths behind Lincoln.

Wakefield's Maddy Radwan put together a solid day, placing third in the Women's 100-yard backstroke and fourth in the 200-yard freestyle.

On the boys' side, Enloe (209) put forth a dominant effort, knocking off Leesville Road (133), Wakefield (110) and Holly Springs (49).

Leesville's Connor Blevins, Charlie Barker, Matthew Hurley and Lee Addison teamed up to place second in the Men's 200-yard Medley relay.

Hurley later took second in the 200-yard freestyle, and Blevins snagged third in the Men's 100-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. Baker placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Leesville's Chris Pollenz finished second with a time of 5:13.15.

Wakefield's Alex Eiden secured two second-place finishes, taking runner-up honors in the Men's 200-yard individual medley (2:03.48) as well as the Men's 100-yard backstroke (55.56).

The Wolverines' Grayson Davis placed second in the Men's 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.71, and fourth in the 100-yard Breaststroke.

The Wolverines are schedule to face Knightdale, Enloe and East Wake at N.C. State University Thursday, Dec. 17. The Pride competes Tuesday, Dec. 15 — also at N.C. State University.
